we had with Cliff's parents. We took some videos but for whatever reasons, no pictures with the grandparents:( But you'll enjoy these...
Not sure who the granddaddy is trying to immitate here. An elephant in labor? A wounded cat? you decide for yourself:)
Aaron is just checking whether his grandmommy is ticklish

"The answer is always "Yes", unless "No" is required"-Madagascar II
For Aaron it goes like this: The answer is always 'NJET' and no unless! He gives us his 'njet' which is the Russian for 'no' for basically anything.
-Aaron, do you want some water?
-NJEEET!
-Aaron, do you want potty?
-NJEET!
-Aaron, let's get dressed to go outside.
-NJEET!
I have never heard him say "Da" except for when he repeats it after me.
We're looking forward to Cislak grandparents coming this week and Nepomyashchyy grandparents coming a couple of weeks! We wish we all lived close to see them more often.

15 months or 1 year and 3 months old
On Tuesday I took him to his 15 months wellness check up. He weighs 27 lb 12 oz (12 kg 500 g) and 33 inches (84 cm)tall. He also got his scheduled set of shots (DTaP, Prevnar, Hib). Oh, boy....He knows way too well what they do at the doctor's office. He SCREAMED every time the nurse opened her mouth, let alone approach or touch him. I wonder what he would think if he knew that his mommy was "one of them":)
Aaron is picking up a lot of new words both in Russian and in English. And our behavior too:)
He still loves books. The first thing he does when he wakes up, even before I have a chance to change his diaper, he runs to the box with books, picks one and runs back to me or sleeping Cliff with his demanding "Peeeeeeeeeeee" which is supposed to be "please" but I think he uses it more like "I want it NOW".:)
Now I even understand which book he wants to read next as he says something from the title of the book, like "Jaba" for "Kurochka Rjaba", or "Enot", or "Dadyj" for "Moj Dodyr" These are Russian books that his Babushka and Dedushka gave him. Usually Cliff reads him English books and I read him Russian books.
We are still having a mix of sleeping through and not-so-sleeping-through-the nights. He now has one molar and another one is well on its way which probably means more fussiness and awakenings at night...but we'll deal with it, because that's what parents do. You got to pay for those heavenly kisses and hugs and love from a child in some way. And it's a small price to pay.
I very much appreciate Cliff's patience in the middle of the night when Aaron was awake for 2-3 hours in a row crying. Thank you, Lord, for Cliff and Aaron!

First haircut, or You have 5 minutes, M'am!
Yeah, we finally decided to get his baby hair chopped into a stylish haircut. Aaron did very well for the first 5 minutes which was almost enough for the hairdresser to do his haircut. Wow...you've got to have a lot of practice to do a haircut in 5 minutes:) Here we go...
Part 1 Still has his beautiful baby hair
Part 2 Getting impatient
Part 3 I think I am done here
